The new Vampire Alpine is a brand new wingsuit design based on the hugely popular Vampire Sukhoi. With the high agility and good glide of the Sukhoi as a basis, the Alpine pushes the performance envelope the max, delivering the maximum shortest start possible in basejumping at a sustained glide ratio of 3:1 and up. Together with the stable flight flight characteristics, this makes the suit an ideal choice for those with long distance flights in basejumping in mind, as well as the avid skydiving wingsuit pilot invested in performance flying races.
The Alpine sacrifices a small bit of agility from the Vampire Sukhoi its based on, but in return gives the user a glide capability unique to the suit, together with massive storage options for (climbing) gear for those with high altitude mountaineering jumps in mind.
The secret of the Alpine is the incredible pressurization of the arm wings, which allow the suit to fly at a much flatter angle achieving, with ease, very impressive glide ratios. The arm wing and tapered sleeve design allow for a good accessible pull, making it suitable for use with normal BOC deployment.
The inlet hole, unique to the Vampire series of Phoenix-Fly, creates an airflow over the back of the legwing that results in improved control as well as lateral stability that allows in sharper turns as well as more stable flight at maximum performance levels.
Tested extensively by our talented team of in house experts, the suit has already shown shorter starts and higher lines at high glide speeds, on many of the exits around Chamonix (France). The Alpine delivers ultimate user comfort from exit to pull. t’s a monster, a big wingsuit with the bite of the Phoenix-Fly Vampire… a natural next step up in evolution from her ‘little’ sister.
Due to the large wing surface area the Vampire-Alpine is not suitable for low experience pilots. We recommend a MINIMUM of 250 wingsuit jumps, and experience on intermediate surface wingsuits before trying the Vampire Alpine.
Note: Due to the Vampire Alpine being new in the product line, the color designer has not been updated with the patterns yet. We will have the color designer reflecting all changes in the PF product line shortly.
